What is kept, and for how long
Last changed 10 October 2026.
Cases
A case you reckon is not stored unless you press "Save". Then the boxes you filled in are kept in a Docket opened by a private link. We store only a scrambled (hashed) form of that link's key, so we cannot find your Docket from it and nobody can guess it. Do not type passwords or account numbers into a case; the claim leaves brackets for those.
No account, no tracking
No account, no email address, no analytics, no ads, no outside scripts, fonts or images: every file comes from this site. Two cookies are used: one holds the open Docket's key in this browser, one protects forms from forgery.
Addresses and logs
Daily limits keep a one-way scrambled form of your internet address for at most 5 days. The hosting server keeps its own access logs for a short time for security.
Backups
Database backups on the server are kept for 14 days. Deleting a case or a Docket removes it at once; copies in those backups are gone within 14 days. When the site's software is updated, an extra copy of the database is also kept off the server; each one is deleted at the first update after it is 14 days old.
Payments
Once checkout opens, payments go through PayPal. We would keep only PayPal's subscription reference and its status, never card details.
